how to count VRAM texture size? - Macromedia Director 3D

I wonder if there is a probe around that shows VRAM usage.. Lingo gives me a information about Video Hardware getRendererServices().getHardwareInfo() but is there any undoc trick to show VRAM usage? Woluld like to give me some instructions about bitamap memory usege? for example: we have texture 32x32 px at 8bit colour; so it is 1 pixel = 2bytes, 32x32=2048bytes (2,05Kb) If I set textureRenderFormat to 16bit; is then any diffrence then (in vram)?     Default Re: how to count VRAM texture size?

    The 3DS Max and Plasma Shockwave 3D exporter give you the W3D stats, among
    which you will find the Runtime Texture Size, i.e the VRAM size.
