How: to create Brushed Metal Panels effect ?... like http://www.mac.com/
I am new to creating effects .. and have being trying to reproduce the brushed metal look used by www.mac.com.
I would like it to be exactly the same.
Can someone explain to me how to do this. I've got Macromedia 2004.

There's a ZIP file with a brushed metal texture you can download from

Thanks .. but I've seen this already .. and the result is not like Apples.
The lines are too straight. And lightning it up causes some pink to show through.

Re: to create Brushed Metal Panels effect ?... like http://www.mac.com/
I just created a brand new brushed metal texture using MX04's new Add Noise
and Motion Blur features...
I've made a style looking something like the apple.come one - go to
www.richiebee.ca/public find applepie3.stl, right click and save as... then
install the style. If you don't like the effects that go with it, you can go
to the Properties Panel, click the Effects plus sign, then choose none.
Darker colored fills give a darker grain.
You might also try my original attempt - applepie.stl which is more "shiny"
on reasonably large objects.
Both use a texture that tiles nicely so you can use it on really big objects
if you need to.
Source PNG's are also available with the same name (but different extension)
in case you want to check out the result before downloading.
