Default How to create Windows app icons

I need to make a windows desktop icon this morning and I just realized that
I've never had to do that before! ;o)

    Few quick questions:

    - I think the file needs to be an .ico format. Are there freeware
    converters for that?

    - how do I make part of the icon transparent (on the Mac, I believe you
picked one particular color that was always transparent).

    - do .ico files contain all 3 resolutions (64, 32 and 16?)

    - feature request...it'd be great if FW could export as ICO in the future
    ;o)

And now I do. I'll answer my own question ;o)

Iconsushi is a freeware windows app that made it really easy. Just
cut-and-paste each sized icon from FW, create the mask inside of Iconsushi,
and then save as a multi-icon ICO file.

    Slick.
