    Default how to Extract fonts?

We have a client that gave us a Press PDF last year. He cannot find the originator of this ad. (It was a freebie and she moved away). He wants to make a change to a date. Can I extract the font from this file? I'd then turn the original pdf into a tiff, make the change, and save as a tif. Everything would then match.

Default Re: how to Extract fonts?

You cannot extract the font. You can try to find out what the font is
and purchase it. Command-D and click on the fonts tab. PDFs are really
not for editing. It is better to recreate the ad.

Mike is correct; you cannot extract the fonts from a PDF. You can, like he said, find out what fonts were used by checking the document's properties under the "File" menu. You then make sure those fonts are active in your system, and if you have Acrobat Professional, you can make minor type corrections.

If you don't have the fonts and are unable to purchase them, you could also substitute the fonts with a different one.
