How to insert images?
Hi guys!
I am a newbie to ColdFusion MX and I would need a little help for a didactic
job I?m doing.
I have a Database where I want to store ?Datas & Pictures?, so working
together with ColdFusion/Dreamweaver I build an ?insertpage? in Dreamweaver and
everything works fine,
But I got stuck on one little thing.
My problem:
I have 4 small pictures (let?s say 150x60 pixels) and I want to use them as
icons
in order to represent the categories of my Database.
In the ?insert? page I would like to have the choice (a form) to insert one of
the 4 icons to
represent the category in that Data I need, the icon has to be shown
top\right on the page.
Any help is appreciate

Re: How to insert images?
Not sure what you're asking. You have a form page and to choose a category,
you represent each cat with an icon, a gif/jpg and want to use them as
selectors? Clue me in some more and maybe I can help.

Re: How to insert images?
If it were me, I would associate a radio button with each image, group them in
some kind of sub table maybe, and use the radio button to test for the result.
Unless you wanted to click on the image instead of a submit button, in which
case provide other details and wrap the image round a submit handler of type
img src. Need more help, holler.

Thank you mate!
For this matter the radio button is fine, would you suggest me some tips
to handle this.

Re: How to insert images?
Help with radio button handling? That's rather basic and not ColdFusion. If
you are not familiar with HTML forms handling, you need to pick up a book on
HTML, not CF. (CF does have its own dialect <CFFORM> but it's essentially
some built in additional Javascript form validation stuff. (I write my own). )
The absolute raw basics would be (without framing and cells), hit the button
and get redirected to another page for handling or in this example the same
page. Pick up the value of form.choice and proceed. <form action=''
method='post'> <input type='radio' name='choice' value='1'> <img
src='path/file' border=0> <input type='radio' name='choice' value='2'>
<img src='path/file' border=0> <input type='submit' value='Choose!'>
</form>
