How to INSERT XML data into Oracle database
Hi,
Working on a solution where we are using XML as a means to export and import
various
data. Are Using ADO to save to (export ) XML using adPersistXML and then
XSL to convert to an element-based XML.
Is there an easy way to INSERT data from an element-based XML into ONE
database-table in oracle, preferable using ADO.
XML has form
<root>
<importdata>
<element1>data</element1>
.........
<elementN>data</elementN>
</importdata>
</root>
Thanks in advance.

this using XML SQL Utilities (XSU) which has been available since 8i.
You may also be able to use the XQuery prototype available in 9i.
Finally, you could always convert the data back to ADOXML using XSL,
then load the resulting ADOXML as a recordset and update. You may want
to consider posting this question to an Oracle newsgroup. They can
provide more details on XSU/XQuery. Oracle Technology Network is also a
great resource.
