How to Install Dual Boot of Two Linux - Linux Setup, Configuration & Administration

Hi there, My PC is running Red Hat 7.1 on its first hard drive (hda). Right now, I have just installed a second hard drive (hdb) to it, and want to install Red Hat 7.2 on the second H/D to let my PC be a dual boot of 7.1 and 7.2. I know it's possible to install dual boot of Win and Linux, but how to dual-boot two linux? How to configure the lilo? Who control the boot - 7.1 or 7.2? Thanks in advance, Ross...

    Just boot the CD as usual; you'll have an option concerning which
    drive to use for installation. You can install the bootloader, or choose
    not to; then you just have to configure it to see the new installation.
    The two installations can also share swap space and access each other's
    partitions, if you so desire.

    I did that. But it didn't work. When I ran lilo, I got error:
    ****************
    :
    Boot other: /dev/hda1, on /dev/hda, loader /boot/chain.b
    Fatal: First sector of /dev/hda1 doesn't have a valid boot signature
    ****************

    Here is the lilo.conf:
    ********************
    prompt
    timeout=50
    default=RedHat7.2
    boot=/dev/hda
    map=/boot/map
    install=/boot/boot.b
    message=/boot/message
    lba32

    image=/boot/vmlinuz-2.4.7-10
    label=RedHat7.2
    initrd=/boot/initrd-2.4.7-10.img
    read-only
    root=/dev/hdb1

    other=/dev/hda1
    optional
    label=RedHat7.1
    ********************

    Here are my partitions:
    hda: hda1 (/ for 7.1), hda2 (swap for 7.1), and hda3(/boot for 7.2)
    hdb: hdb1 (/for 7.2) and hdb2 (swap for 7.2).

    Thanks,
    Ross

    It works now.
    I copied 7.2's vmlinuz-2.4.7-10 file to 7.1's /boot, and added entry to
    7.1's lilo.conf:
    image = /boot/vmlinuz-2.4.7-10
    label = linux7.2
    root = /dev/hdb1

    Thanks a lot,
    Ross
