    Hello Shivy,

try "./installFMS -plattformWarnOnly" , this skips the checks due to the
installation process regarding to the distribution ( what distry do you use ?
Would be good to know ).
Of course, when you don't use a "supported" Linux distribution ( see
doentation about supported OS'es ), there is no guaranty that FMS2 will work
after installation. Me myself uses SuSE Linux 10 ( not supported, too ;) ) and
I had to investigate and to do some postinstall tasks ( see thread "FMS2 on FC4
anyone?" in this forum ). Now it works like a charm :) Other ppl. succeeded in
installing on CentOS and Fedora Core4 and described what to do here in the
    Forum, too.
Maybe these threads include helpfull information for you.
Please write back here in the forum what distribution you are using and if (
and of course how) you where able to make FMS run on it. That may help others,
    too.

    Hello MIB

    Thanks for you prompt response.

I'll try what you have suggested and get back to you.

In the meantime, just a FYI.

I am trying to install FMS2 on Redhat Linux 7.3.2.96

Hi there i tried several times the function ./installFMS -plattformWarnOnly on
Fedrora 2 but it did not work.
After i tried again ././installFMS it says again ERROR: Your distribution,
unknown, is not supported by this
    Macromedia Flash Media Server installer.

Is there no solutions for this from Macromedia yet? I wan to buy FMS2 but it
    have to work first.

    Kind regards John

I try to install FMS2 on CentOS 4.2 with switch "./installFMS -plattformWarnOnly" and effect is excellent. No Errors on Installation, and finally server is working.
