Default How to make shapes translucent?

Please go to www.vorspann.net This is an online buisness I am starting and
I created the VORSPANN logo there in freehand. When creating the O however
I used a circle instead of freehand and I used another circle for the inside
of the O. As you can see I set the fill color for the inside of the O as
white. I did the same thing to the A. I am wondering how I can make it so
they are like cut outs from the shape. I want it so you can see through and
see part of the images. Any help is appreciated.

Hi Chris,
I'm seeing a "Directory Listing Denied" message. You probably need an
index.htm file in your root folder. What is the exact path to your image?

You need to select the inner & outer circle used for the "O" and then "join"
(commnad + J on Mac) to make them a compound path. The same thing needs to
be done to your "A" to make the inner triangle transparent.
