How to override "always open in columns" for disk image with background pic? - Mac Programming

I've started using disk images for drag and drop software distrubution. If I create a disk image with a background picture (you know - "drag the icon to Applications" etc) the picture is not shown upon mount if Finder preference is set to "Always open in columns view". For my disk images this setting seems to override the selection made on disk creation. I've noticed that many images (e.g. the Omnigraffle download) don't seem to have this problem - they open in the big icon view with background pic regardless of my finder pref. How does one do this? Thanks! ...

It does - thanks! Downloaded FileStorm and it's awesome - way easier
than doing all this stuff by hand... well worth the price
