    Default How to remove drivers from ODBC Data Source Administrator?

    On my Windows 2000 server there are 2 entries under the System DSN tab of
    the ODBC Data Source Administrator that refer to 'Adaptive server Anywhere
    7.0"

    If I try and remove these I get an error: "The setup routines for the
    Adaptive Server anywhere 7.0 ODBC driver could not be found. Please
    reinstall the driver - component not found in registry"

    I do not have Adaptive Server 7.0 installed. I am pretty sure the drivers
    got installed with some software that has long since been removed (which did
    not belong to us)

    I need to remove them because they are preventing installation of Ghost 8.0

    Help appreciated.

    Edit the ODBC.INI file manually and remove the sections that refer to this
    data source.

    You can find it in C:\windows\odbc.ini and the section will probably look
    like:

    [AdaptiveServerAnywhere] (or something)
    Driver32=C:\WINDOWS\System32\drivername.dll
    [NextSourceKeepMe]
    driver32=etc.etc.

    So just scrap in this example the [adaptive...] and the line under it.

    Found the solution - remove the entries from the registry and they are gone
    from the Administrator
