    Default How to Show Common Dialog Control like Open / Save on Web using AS

    Hello All,

    I'm facing a problem to show a common dialog box opne/save on the web. At
    this time my default page language is JavaScript and t he page is written in
    ASP.

    I have used the following code:

    <OBJECT ID="CommonDialog1" WIDTH=0 HEIGHT=0
    CLASSID="CLSID:F9043C85-F6F2-101A-A3C9-08002B2F49FB">
    <PARAM NAME="CancelError" VALUE="1">
    </OBJECT>

    <SCRIPT LANGUAGE="VBScript">
    function LoadFileSave()
    On Error Resume Next
    CommonDialog1.Filter = "Excel Files (*.xls)|*.xls"
    CommonDialog1.DialogTitle="Save Excel File"
    CommonDialog1.ShowSave
    End function

    function LoadFileOpen()
    On Error Resume Next
    CommonDialog1.Filter = "Excel Files (*.xls)|*.xls"
    CommonDialog1.DialogTitle="Open Excel File"
    CommonDialog1.ShowOpen
    End function
    </SCRIPT>

    The above mentioned code works on my machine at that time i'm using Windows
    Server 2003, but on another machine where the same O/S is installed the
    dose'nt appears and also on the machine where the Winodws XP installed the
    samething is happens, if we install Windows XP SP2 then it works. It could be
    possible to use this without SP2 and the control appears on the both O/S
    Windows Server 2003 and Windows XP.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi McKirahan,

    In my machine i have installed both MS Visual Studio 6.0 and Visual Studio
    2003.
    Both on another machine where i'm testing this there is no instance of both
    MS Visual Studio 6.0 and Visual Studio 2003.

    If you have some solution Please provide me.
    Thanks in Advance.

    The link I provided indicated the problem.

    Google (Groups) is your friend!
    I found the following via a search on:
    CommonDialog group:microsoft.public.scripting.*
