If you are not already doing so, try creating your PDF by making a postscript file and distilling it. The resulting PDF should be incredibly smaller.

YIKES.
Just curious what program you used that made the file so large. I know Quark 6's built in function makes some bulbous sized ones.

I use PDF Compress (shareware). It does a very good job on most projects. Worth a try.
