Default How to specify opening pdf view size for end user?

Using ID CS to export a pdf: InDesign document size is 4.5 x 5.5. InDesign view is set at "Fit Page to Window". I've tried making an invisible button that covers the page, setting the button behavior to "upon mouse enter"-view zoom-fit page, and made sure "interactive elements" box is checked in the pdf export section.

The pdf opens up at 502%. There should be an easy way to specify the opening view size for the end user without making a button for a single page, but I can't find it either in the ID forum or here.

Anyone know the answer to this? TIA

Default Re: How to specify opening pdf view size for end user?

How end user views a PDF is dependent upon how they have Acrobat or Reader set up. Not anything you set.

The setting is located in Preferences. Page Display > Magnification. set to 100%

Thank you Mark, that's exactly the info I needed. I reviewed the entire help section for Document Properties and fooled around with different settings to see the effects.

The last question I have is if you set your properties for the document, how would the end user's Acrobat preferences effect your document? Would they override your settings? Most people don't even know you can set preferences in Acrobat, but if someone has, what would happen?
