Default How to uncheck 'Rotate Content'?

I am using InDesign CS 3.0.1. I want to rotate a text frame without rotating its text content, but in the Rotate dialog box the 'Rotate Content' option is always checked and greyed out so that I can't uncheck it. I'm sure I must be missing something simple but can't find the answer in any documentation.

Thanks in advance for any help.

    Hi,
as far as I can see this 'rotate content' is available only for graphic frames, not text frames !
....same goes for 'Transform Content' in the Transform palette
