How to uninstall Interakt Popup
:| I downloaded what I thought were free xtensions on the MM exchange from
Interakt because the first page said only download not buy or try buy. I now
have this obnoxious popup window every time I load DW8 to activate the mx
Kollection trial extensions which however you cannot do as trials. I cannot
uninstall them from extension manaqger because they are not yet in there. I
want to get rid of this obnoxious popup window that tells me to activate the
trials. I have had 4 email to Interakt with no good response whatsoever. These
are evil and obnoxious people- do not downlaod these extensions. I am asking
for help from here becausee I have been not successful getting any help from
them whatsoever. Does anyone know how to get rid of the obnoxious Interakt
popup window telling you to buy their extensions.

i'm working with interakt for years and i cannot nor understand nor accept
your comments about interakt people.
interakt support is one of the best i know. here are some advices to help
you to find informations :
1/ go to http://www.interaktonline.com/
2/ navigate to support => forum => mx kollection or go to
http://www.interaktonline.com/Products/Bundles/MXKollection/Product-Forum/
to avoid step one if too difficult.
3/ In the search input zone type "uninstall trial" and you will get your
answer.
or if too difficult and to avoid step 1, 2, 3 go to
http://www.interaktonline.com/Products/Bundles/MXKollection/Product-Forum/Details/48915/How+to+Uninstal+Trial+Version
to get your answer.
regarding interakt products, there are excellent.
i just have checked on macromedia exchange page and license is mentionned as
"try/buy". this does'nt change anything but i just wanted to mention it.
bretz, happy interakt customer between many others

Re: How to uninstall Interakt Popup
Interakt extensions are a bit different than traditional Dreamweaver
extensions, but they are a reputable company. If the popup propmts annoy
you, simply uninstall the extension via Extension Manager. I'm curious
to know if that does or does not work, so please post back.

Re: How to uninstall Interakt Popup
Al Sparber- thank you for your suggestions. I think the issue I may have is that
the popup window exists but the extensions are not installed in any version of
DW- if they are called what they say such as Mx form validator 3.20 and mx
querybuilder 3.20 etc. I also do not have the mxp files on my system with those
names. I do have some dll files in my DW 8 downloaded extensions folder. I dont
recall if there was a glich in installing them or I didnt click on the accept
screen or what. And I dont know what is running this popup window or where it
is. I finally heard from Interakt with instructions to uninstall but unless
they are called something else with different version numbers I do not have the
mxp files with those names.

Re "I downloaded what I thought were free xtensions on the MM exchange from
Interakt because the first page said only download not buy or try buy. "
Below is the page where you downloaded it from, it states quiet clearly that
the extension is a commercial extension, it also states that the download is
a trial just above the download button.

Re"" I have had 4 email to Interakt with no good response whatsoever.""
I am begining to wonder what type of responcse you were after and what is
your level of knowledge is of using dreamweaver.
Re" These are evil and obnoxious people- do not downlaod these extensions."
ah ha ha ha ha ha!
Re" I do have some dll files in my DW 8 downloaded extensions folder."
any way
IF you started deleting some of your dlls with out knowledge then you would
be in a complete mess. perhaps you should just delete your config folders
and reload all your extensions again. but depending the mess you have
created you may need to uninstall reinstall dreamweaver, who knows what type
of dogs dinner you have created already with out taking attention into what
you were doing in the first place.
hope you have success in sorting your pc out, I have been dealing with
Interakt over the last few years and have always had the best of both
support and products.
regards
Kenny

Excuse me? How many of them do you know personally?
Try the support forums .... you'll be amazed. I subscribe to all of them

Re: How to uninstall Interakt Popup
It did say trial, a trial means something available for a short period of
time. and in this case as is usual in the software industries you get a
trial for a period of time before the trial runs out and then one has to
purchase.
