How to use MySQL 5.0 with ColdFusion MX 7?
Hi,
I'm currently using MySQL 4.1 with Cold Fusion MX 7 and everything is working
fine.
Now, MySQL have released the 5.0 version which contains several additional
interesting features which I'd like to try it.
Consequently, I'd be grateful if you could please explain to me how to
proceed, whether we can use the same mysql-connector-java-3.{n}-bin.jar
connector or I'll need another one specifically for MySQL 5.0?
Awaiting your reply.
Thanks and regards,

Have not loaded 5.0 yet but view the thread here about 'MySQL and stoed procedures'. Per the thread using the newest ODBC driver seems to have everything running.
Good Luck.

Re: How to use MySQL 5.0 with ColdFusion MX 7?
I've got MySQL 4.0.26, 4.1.15, and 5.0.15 running on the same machine
(different ports of course) with CFMX7 and the latest and greatest
Connector J (3.1.11) works with all of them...as far as I can tell. I've
only ran the various apps minimally that use the different MySQL
database engines, and so far so weirdness. So my suggestion would be the
3.1.11 driver.
