Default How to use the clipping path for removing white background?

Thanks for the reply, Judy Arndt.

However, I have tried to use the clipping path, but seems that the clipping path greys out, I am able to select it. I have taken a look at the help index of FH9, it says to select clipping path, but how to select when it is grey out...pls help, if you are still in the forum.

    Millon thanks.

If you do know how, is it possible to type out as in steps by steps instruction for me? Thanks again.

    Hi Sammi,
Are you sure your clipping path is on the correct layer? It sounds like it could be on the Background layer. Objects that are placed on this layer appear "dimmed" and do not print, even though you can still select and edit them.

    Working with clipping paths
You can fill a closed path with other objects: vector graphics, text, or bitmap images. These paths are called clipping paths, and the items they contain are called contents or paste insides. Contents extending beyond the clipping path are hidden, not deleted, and you can edit, move, and transform them. - excerpt from the Using Freehand 10 Help Index - search for "working with clipping paths."

To add contents to a clipping path:
    1. Move your clipping path to a new layer
    2. Move that layer in front of the object you would like to clip.
    3. Turn off the fill on your clipping path, and create a thin stroke so you can see where the clipping will occur.
    4. Position the objects as you want them to appear in the clipping path.
    5. Select the object you want to clip, choose Edit > Cut or CTRL+X
    6. Select the clipping path choose Edit > Paste Inside or CTRL+SHIFT+V
    7. Repeat the procedure to add additional contents to the clipping path.
    8. Turn off the stroke

To remove contents from a clipping path:
    1. Select the clipping path.
    2. Choose Edit > Cut Contents or CTRL+SHIFT+X

    Hope this was helpful.
    Good luck!!!
