Hi all,

I'm trying to install ColdFusion MX 6.1 on Windows 2003 Server (clean
install with all updates), but when I either select to install from the
Flash splashscreen on the CD or run the coldfusion-61-win.exe manually
I just get a DOS-type screen flash up for a split second then nothing.
In looking at the logs I see the following:

Event Type: Information
Event Source: Foundation Agents
Event Category: Events
Event ID: 1106
Date: 10/11/2005
Time: 10:53:56 AM
User: N/A
Computer: INTRANETSRV
Description:
Foundation Agent:
The HP Management Agents have detected a process exception: PID: 440 -
DESC: coldfusion-61-win
[SNMP TRAP: 11004 in CPQHOST.MIB]

.... It looks like the HP Management Agent is catching some problems.
I disabled all the HP Management Agent services and reran setup, but
now I get this:

Event Type: Error
Event Source: EventLog
Event Category: None
Event ID: 6004
Date: 10/11/2005
Time: 11:06:18 AM
User: N/A
Computer: INTRANETSRV
Description:
A driver packet received from the I/O subsystem was invalid. The data
is the packet.

So it looks like CFMX6.1 doesn't like this server for some reason. I'm
reading MANY problems with folks having issues with 6.1 and in my 6
years of using CF I've never had these types of issues installing it.
I know my CD is okay because while testing I installed it successfully
on a Win 2K Server with no issues.

Any ideas??? WHy would this not install on Win 2K3 Server?

Thanks --

Sam
