Could someone explain what the difference between the html tag and body tag
is.
What exactly is the purpose of the html tag
Isn't all the content contained within the body tag

The HTML tag is the tag that tells your browser that the page is an HTML based
page. The body tag only contains the images and text and all that, but there
are also tags such as <script> for JavaScript and <head> for the title and
meta tags.
