HTTP Posting without Forms over SSL - Macromedia Dreamweaver

I'm trying to POST without actually using a form. I quickly figured out that I needed some sort of object to do this for me, so I downloaded AboeHTTP and had it working, until I tried to use SSL... I looked around and found AdvHTTP, which claimed to able to work under SSL, but never received the e-mail that gave a link to download it... Can anybody point me in the right direction for what I'm trying to do? Thanks....

cURL may or may not be right for you. You could use cookies to populate the POST if for
some reason you don't want to use a form to do so. There are a lot of options available to
    you with cURL.
