Hyperlink font colors

I'm creating a web page with Publisher and have multiple
hyperlinks within the page within separate text boxes.
Some of the text boxes are on dark backgrounds and some
on white. I need the hyperlinks to have different font
colors for visibility. Publisher appears to force all of
the hyperlinks to one color on a page (unlike Word). Is
there a fix?

While you can change the link colors, it is generally bad design form. It will
drive your viitors nuts if you do it too much. Certainly do not use more than
one color combo per page (I am not sure Publisher will let you do more than one
per document set anyway). For best results stick with the blue / purple scheme
if you can, but opinions will differ on this, I am sure.

I agree. Some novice users are so accustomed to looking for the blue
hyperlink that they may not recognize it if it's another color.

David, your multiple file trick does allow different backgrounds and different
colors for the links. I had to do it in a couple of places on my site out of
necessity. Here, the background emulates a Tektronix technical manual, and
precludes the use of the traditional blue / purple combo:

(Warning: It will hurt your eyes!).
Here it was again necessary to follow the fire and brimstone theme:

I thimp these are the only places we diverge from the traditional blue/purple
theme on the website.

I am hardly a novice user, but it sure drives me batty. Even worse is the
indiscriminate us of colored text that looks like links. For goodness sake, if
you are going to use red for your links, don't stick red words all over the
place that are not hypertext. It is an amazingly common mistake. But it may
just be my curmudgeon nature...

I agree with previous comments, but ultimate control should be with the designer. Does anyone know how to have links not be underlined?(if the designer should choose that way)
