Hyperlinks in Index Don't Work
I created a book containing several documents. At the end of the book is an index.
I converted the book to an Acrobat v5 PDF and checked the Hyperlinks check box. After converting the file, I go to the index and roll my cursor over the page numbers. The hand turns to a pointing finger, but when I click on the page numbers some take me to the page and others do not. The weird thing is when I convert to PDF again some of the page numbers that worked before no longer work, and others that didn't work before work now.
Can anyone offer some insight into what is causing the problem?

Re: Hyperlinks in Index Don't Work
Someone else in this forum suggested deleting the frames and re-creating the index. I tried this; however, none of my index entries work now.
My original document is 167 pages and someone else wrote earlier that they had a similar experience with a long InDesign document. I tried creating a document with only 30 pages and I still have the same problem. Is this an issue with InDesign? I typically use FrameMaker to create long documents and have never had problem with creating indexes with fully working hyperlinks.
Anyone with any suggestions?

Re: Hyperlinks in Index Don't Work
I my efforts to try and solve the problem, I recreated the book and refreshed the table of contents. That seemed to activate the links in the index. However, when I click on the links, they don't take me to the correct pages, i.e., clicking on page 9 in the index takes me to page 7.
What is going on here?
