It is best to work in outline mode.
First create a (equilateral) triangle with polygon tool. (alt+cick for
options, Win)
Then create a circle (using shift key you'll get exactly round) Roughly
twice as high as the triangle.
Put 'Snap to Point and Smart Guides on. (View menu).
Drag the circle by it's centerpoint to one of the triangles cornerpoints. It
snaps to it and smart guides should display the text 'anchor'.
Then copy the circle twice (drag with alt key) and put them to the other two
cornerpoints.
Finally select the three circles. From the Pathfinder menu use intersect
funtion and after that press expand button. Delete the triangle.
Note that you may have to adjust the circle size a few times to get the
result you want.

Re: I am desperate...advicxe please making shape
Mike,
Make a triangle, (choose the Polygon Tool and Click...set Sides: to '3').
With the triangle selected, choose Object > Path > Add Anchor Points. (This will add 3 anchor points; one centered on each side.)
Use the Convert Anchor Point tool to convert the 3 new points to smooth points. After that, it's a matter of moving the 3 points each away from the center of the triangle and adjusting the curve of each side.

Re: I am desperate...advicxe please making shape
mrharris:
Draw a large circle to follow one of the sides, then rotate 120 degrees around the center of the logo. Repeat. Select all three circles, and use the overlap filter, or just get the Illustrator file here:
Bloated Triangle <http://www.itchybug.com/bloatedtriangle.ai>
You'll have to rename the file .ai, then it's what you need.

Re: I am desperate...advicxe please making shape
Mike,
You may try this:
a) Start with a straight line such as X=0,Y=0 to X=100, Y=0, add anchor point in the middle and change position to 50,10, add direction line to make the arc, adjust to nice curvature (you may also start with a circle, add anchor points and cut to make an even arc, change W to integer value and place endpoints suitably).
b) When you have a line with the right curvature and known position of end points, choose CtrlC+CtrlF to copy, AltO>T>R 120 to rotate and place endpoint on endpoint of the first line.
c) Repeat b) and join endpoints.
d) Adjust size.
