I am having a problem distorting with PS 7

I am trying to learn how to use distorting filter. and I am doing it to the
t correctly and I can't get it to work... I think the problem my be
I have PS 7 and I know the tutes are written in previous versions....

what could it be and what am I doing wrong

The problem isn't your version. The problem is that there are several important little details left out, that one kind of has to know, from experience in order to do that tutorial. IMO, it's not a great tutorial.

So, if you want to get it to work, go through the steps, and tell us which step is not working. Youll get good help.
