Default I can't even start I'm so new

Alright this is getting frusterating I got coldfusion and started a new
Dreamweaver site and followed every tutorial I've seen right down to the bone.
Next I set up my RDS connection but it won't let me it says that the server
name or address could not be resloved because either the URL is wrong or the
testing server is not configured correctly. Now I'm running on a web host so I
figured that may be the problem but I can not figure out how to set up a local
server for the life of me. So now I'm stuck even befor I began.... I've
checked over 20 tutorials and all of them skip the server setup and none say
anything about the error message.

For a local server you would need to install a development version of CF.
Then depending on how you installed it you would call your testing server
with Http://localhost/sitename or Http://localhost:8500/sitename

Did that... I was able to have the server up to have the enter.cfm page show up
then spend an eternity "waiting for 127.0.0.1..." I installed everything the
single server then the jrun4 and now the only thing that happened is I have a
record number of processes on my task manager.
