Default I Desperately Need a Script for InDesign CS2 To Renumber Endnotes

I am using InDesign CS2 for a lengthy book project (1000+ pages, 1000s of endnotes). My client is has inserted a number of new endnotes and each time I have to renumber the entire 500 for the chapter. I am going crazy doing this and would love a script that would simply number all the endnotes in lowercase roman numerals from the begining of the document to the end. I have been using In Design for years but I have never used a script before. Is there somewhere I can buy a script? This book needs to be done this week and I am getting quite desparate.

Any and all help is appreciated!

    Thanks!
