It's always struck me that the folks
    who are most vehemently against
    homouals often appear to be
closeted carriers of that particular geneset
themselves, and what they are expressing
    through their anger/hatred parallels a
personal battle against that part of their
    own nature.

The rest of us, happily hetero, could care less how
    others get their rocks off.

NOW you're talking. To me however ALL religion is a bunch of BS, I look at it
this way. If the Greek and/or Roman, Norse etc, etc myths are just
that......what makes the others any more valid?

Ok Lewis I'm still not buying it, "history" for years people thought the
stories of Washington and the cherry tree and Abe who walked miles to give a
woman the right change were true tales as well, but they were not and so just
because history clams that JC did this and he did that "don't make so"

Or, to summarize your first two paragraphs (and paraphrase George
    Orwell at the same time):

"Who controls the past controls the future, who controls the present
    controls the past".

History is full of rulers rewriting history books to suit their own
purposes (medieval England jumps to mind).
