iBook battery, extending its life

Hi,

Does anybody have any practical tips for extending battery life
please?

For example, should the battery have a cycle of being fully
charged/discharged at regular intervals?

Any advice to this newbie will be most welcome. TIA.

Yes, please accept my apologies for time-wasting. I sent a cancel but

It dawned on me like a 'clue by four' that this topic has probably
been done to death in the past.
