icm profile not showing in Monitor list
I need to check my new pc is ok printer wise and colour wise by trying
FH7 on it with files and printer used on the previous win95 FH7 setup
pc , then I can progress onto FH10 ! So far results darker so perhaps
need select monitor in color Mgmnt.
Under Freehand 7, you can choose an icm profile in the Monitor list
dropdown, having installed F730_93.icm for my Eizo monitor to the
correct folder at C:\Windows\System\Colour, I still don't see it in
this list. Its file size is 1Kb unlike 55Kb for another icm that does
show up, but Eizo say its okay, anyhow tried the icm from their
website, still same size at 1Kb and no better.
So try it under win98, still not appearing in list.
Trying FH9 there is no list now to choose the monitor profile,
something in the manual about Freehand selects the monitor profile if
Monitor simulates NONE selected in Color management. BUT HOW DO I KNOW
ITS DONE THIS ? given the problems with FH7 not seeing it !
It is comforting to see the Monitor selected in a list, how do I do
this in FH9.
And what is FH10 like ?...same method ?
How do I get this icm seen by freehand ?
Install of icm is via control panel, display>advanced>add and choose
disc, select icm and ok.
The Eizo.inf reads as below, not sure how that gets enrolled into
things during install. If someone were to simply copy-paste the
F730_93.icm into the colour folder, would that not work ?...anyhow I
did it the suggested way !
Any help appreciated here, I need to know its being used if I go to
FH10 so would be happy to see it functional in FH7 !
With only two free questions to use in FH10 support I dont want to
blow 1 life on something so basic ! but need suss this in FH7 before
installing FH10.
