Default ID 2.0 eps export problems

I have created a logo in ID2.0 and go to export as an eps so my client can use it later in various Microsoft applications... it exports fine, but then when I try to import the file into a Word document it says "no preview"... even though I gave it a TIFF preview... and then Word asks if I want to convert the image... if I do I get an error message.

EPS is not a great format for MS apps. I would actually recommend JPG.

With ID 2.0, create a PDF and then open that in Photoshop. From there
    save as JPG.

ID CS has export to JPG but I still use the PDF to Photoshop route for
    better control.
