ID CS: Anyone Else See This ID CS to Acrobat 6 Pro Quirk?
I can't tell if this is an Acrobat6 Pro, ID CS problem, a little of both or something I'm doing wrong.
On a master page, place a black box or line wider than a three-digit number. Over that, insert an Auto Number (black) formatted with paragraph rule settings:
Rule Below, Weight: 11pt, Width: Text, Color: Paper, Type: Solid Line, Indents: -3, Offset: -9 (or what ever measurements put a thick enough paragraph rule behind the auto number so that it covers the line or graphic behind the number).
Viewing onscreen, the paragraph rule set to paper will knock out the line or graphic behind the number. If you export to PDF (Acrobat 6) using any setting, when you view the auto number the "paper" rule does not block out the graphic behind the number. If you "print" the PDF to a PS printer, it prints correctly with the paragraph rule blocking out the graphic behind the number.
This was not a problem in ID 2.0 with Acrobat5. The only solution I could find was to redesign the document eliminating the background graphic.
Has anyone else seen this, found a workaround or see that I'm doing something wrong?
Thanks!
