ID CS crashes when converting doc authored in ID 2.02
The title says it all really. A document working perfectly well in ID now crashes when I try to open it in ID CS. CS starts to convert then crashes. I had similar problems with ID 2 crashing but narrowed that down to a font which I removed. I don't know where to start with this one.
Document has hyperlinks and linked TOC if that is any help.

Re: ID CS crashes when converting doc authored in ID 2.02
Have you tried opening it in ID2.0.2, checking for all the obvious things
like fonts, linked graphics etc. Then doing a SaveAs to a different file
name and seeing if you can open that.

Re: ID CS crashes when converting doc authored in ID 2.02
Any dodgy fonts were identified by 2.02 by crashing also so they have long since been removed. All graphics links work in 2.02. I could try removing all links I suppose....
Personally, as good as ID's functionality goes, I find it a very unstable application that has given me no end of grief in terms of crashing out on a frustratingly regular basis. Shame really

Absolutely the two most stable applications for me are InDesign 2 or CS and Photoshop. I NEVER crash in those applications, and I spend hours a day in InDesign especially.

Personally, I find it incredibly more stable than PageMangler. It has
almost never crashed on me, though importing old docs will do it and so
to can importing Quark docs, though it seems to handle that very well.
