Default ID CS: Pages Panel - One spread transparent background?

In the pages panel, all the page/spread icons show a white background. However, one icon of a 2-page spread clearly shows a transparent background. I have an 88-page publication and this is the only page/spread icon that shows a transparent background.

Is this a non-issue? Since the entire pub is black/white (with some white areas) I'd like to be sure nothing is amiss before it goes to the printer.

    Thanks, Pat

What's on that page that might have transparency? Keep in mind anything
on the pasteboard will also affect it.

    Robert, thanks...

I could not find anything transparent on the spreads. That was my first thought. I was just now able to change the spread icon back to white after moving some pages around (it's been a long night).

Since I only get to work in B/W, I've never seen a transparent page/spread icon before. Do icons change to reflect the page contents? There was nothing in the manual about this.

The checkered icon means transparency. This could be blend modes,
feathering, drop shadows, or the use of PSD files.

I didn't think to look for feathering. Good info, thanks!

I've had the same problem with feathering. I don't mind the transparency on the page other than the fact that it actually prints darker and appears noticeably darker in PDF format.

Is there any way to avoid this darkening effect?
