ID2.0.2 Prints with Grey Shadow on text and images!

I have looked all over and cannot find reference to a problem I suddenly encountered with ID2.0.2. All of my output suddenly prints with a grey shadow along all black lines! There is no shadow used, and it does not show up on the file on screen.

I found that if I export the file into PDF format, and print that PDF, then the grey shadow only occurs on images, not on text. If I print directly from Indesign, as I usually do, the shadow is on text AND images.

I have used ID 2 since buying it several years ago. This printing problem only showed up recently. I did upgrade from jaguar to tiger. I don't know if the problem showed up immediately after upgrading though. I have looked on OS and Adobe forums and seen nothing at all like my problem.

I am using Max OSX 10.4.7

I am using ID 2.0.2

I am using a HP Deskjet 1220 c

HELP! I'd like to be able to print without this stupid shadow messing my stuff up.

IF its the printer, why didn't it do it always? And why only Indesign based documents?

I did test to see if it was print cartridges, and it does it no matter what cartridge is in the printer.
