ID3: any way to maintain zoom level?
Seems that my zoom level changes to fit in window whenever I change other view properties, like going to first/next/previous/last page or hitting Tab.
Maybe this is a feature requst: "Please do not do things I didn't tell you to do," or something like that.

Re: ID3: any way to maintain zoom level?
Scott,
I don't see that happening on my ID3. When I go to the next page or previous page the zoom level is the same on every page. I have not changed any setting that I could think of that makes this work as it should.
I checked the preferences to see if there is something there that can be changed and didn't see anything. I think there may be something wrong with your ID.
Have you had it installed very long and has this behavior always existed or is it something that just started to happen?
How about trashing your preferences, have you tried that?
If anyone else is having the same problem as Scott please post it.

Re: ID3: any way to maintain zoom level?
Yo say you zoom level does nto change, but what was it to begin with? Mine seems to jump to fit page (sometimes spread) in window. This after zooming with the scroll wheel.

Re: ID3: any way to maintain zoom level?
You will see differences in the zoom level if you're working with a facing pages document and you switch from a single-page spread to a double-page one when you have one or more of the Fit options selected.
But that doesn't seem to fit with your experience.

You mean when you first open the document?
ID may or may not remember the zoom level I was at when I last saved the document but if I zoom in or out then I flip to another page, the zoom is still the same as I had it just before I flip the page.

Re: ID3: any way to maintain zoom level?
Not when I first open the document -- can't care less about that. What happens is I zoom out to a comfortable view, letting me see several spreads. If I use page scrolling keys (page up, page down, home, end) or press tab, BOOM -- fit in window. ARGH! Hulk smash!

Weird, I just tried the same thing and it doesn't do what you said. No fit in window here.
You didn't say if you tried trashing the preferences already. It might help. I had a problem with the TAB rulers coming up blank and someone told me to trash my preferences and that worked. I had to re-install ID later for some odd reason but it worked.
Let us know.
