    Default IDCS2 pages palette

    Hi,
I recently made the transition from PageMaker on Mac OS9 to InDesign CS2 on OS X 10.4. After using ID for about a week or so, the pages palette became almost unusable. The icons for the master pages went off beyond the right edge of the palette, the ones for the doc pp. (when displayed vertically), are half off (left pp. show, right pp. are cut off). Because the palette also lost the scroll bar, I can't access most pp. in a multi-p. document. I've clicked on Window > Workspace > Default, I've tried changing everything in the Palette Options accessed from the palette's drop-down menu, I've trashed the ID Default prefs file, but none of these things have resolved the problem. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Yes, I've tried changing everything in the Palette Options dialog box. The horizontal views cause some of the icons to be visible in the palette, but other spreads go off the right edge and are not accessible. By changing the icon sizes with horizonal, I can change which spreads end up being visible, but there are always some which will always end up off the right edge. I'm using ID CS2.

In your original post you said you trashed your preferences. Apparently
    you didn't.

Glad you got it sorted out.

I originally deleted the InDesign Defaults file from the Preferences > Adobe ID folder. I guess that's not the same as trashing the "preferences"?
