    Default Identify type of PDF

A PDF has been sent to me and I want to identify whether it is press-ready, print-ready, etc. I preflighted it and found low-res images and JPEGS, so I thought it was screen-ready. But I'm told this is what went to the printer, and the quality of the printed publication is great.

Is there a way to tell what type of PDF this is?

    Thanks, Debbie

Default Re: Identify type of PDF

These aren't types of PDF. Rather, they are just options which
Distiller uses in making a PDF. There are many other kinds of
software that make PDF, and Distiller can also have other named
    options.

So, pre-flighting is really what you needed to do (so that was right).
You can't tell more than what you've found: if it isn't suitable for
your needs, you can't say for sure why, only that it is. If that makes
    sense.

Yes, it does make sense, and it answers my question. Thank you.
