IE & Shockwave Error

We are running a program in our school district called PLATO. It uses
shockwave in many of its modules. We are having problems with IE7 & Shockwave
10. We get an error that says that "Internet Explorer has an error and needs
to close." The Microsoft Engineer I have been working with on the problem says
it is a Shockwave dll error. We have the debug captures that show that. Is
there any way to install an earlier version of Shockwave Player. We did not
have these issues until Shockwave was updated. This is affecting approximately
5,000 students in our district right now.
