If FW s for making pop-ups, what is it good for?? - Macromedia Fireworks

Hey I have been in the middle of pop-up hell because of Fireworks, and I bought the expensive Studio MX Suite so that I could have tools that were effective and integrated with each other. Dreamweaver is fine, but Fireworks seems horrible to me. If it can't build proper interactive menu's and buttons that will actually work in DW (which I assume it was designed to do) then what is it good for? I just want to be able to get some use out of the program I guess. Dubs...

And it does a splendid job at that....

    Dubs,

Fireworks is a killer app for creating some beautiful web graphics and
handling images for the web. Nav systems are just something best left to
other programs. Dive into FW and have some fun! :-)

If you're only trying to use Fireworks for creating pop up menus, then you
are not making use of the real strengths of the program. It's not a
JavaScript creation app; it's a web graphics creation app, and a darned good
one. There are ways to make the pop ups work, but they are involved, and
there are more efficient, easier and S.E. friendly methods available.

It's not an html editor and it's not magic. It is a fan-freakin-tastic graphics
editor, though. And since that's what it is marketed as, I'd say it perfectly
    excedes expectations.
