Ill CS always opens landscape PDF in portrait; need landscape
Here's the scenario: Take a PowerPoint slide and make a PDF, such that the PDF when viewed in Acrobat, appears landscape on screen. Then, open a page of the PDF in Illustrator CS.
The problem is that Illustrator always opens the page in portrait. The quick answer is to just do a quick rotate, but I the problem is that all the character strings other than those what *would* have been vertically positioned have been broken into individual characters, and I need to do some editing.
A solution that does work is to export the PDF as a set of EPS files. It works fine, but it's a step I'd like to avoid if I could.
Any ideas?
