Illustartor CS - Scaling Objects created with 3d effects. - Adobe Illustrator Windows

I have a cube that I created in Illustartor CS using the extrude & bevel 3d effect. It looks great, it's just what I need except... It isn't scalable. I originally created a square that was 100 pt on each side. I extruded this cube with a depth of 100pt too, so that the whole thing would appear to have equal sides. However, when I scale the cube, the main face gets bigger/smaller, but the depth stays the same, so I no longer have a perfect cube, I have a box with a depth of 100pt and a height and ...

Default Illustartor CS - Scaling Objects created with 3d effects.

However, when I scale the cube, the main face gets bigger/smaller, but the depth stays the same, so I no longer have a perfect cube, I have a box with a depth of 100pt and a height and width of whatever I scale it to.

Any suggestions on an elegant way to make this scalable? I'm hoping there's some tool similar to Outline Stroke that I'm just unaware of, that will quickly and easily convert this object into three nice paths that will fit together perfectly and maintain the illusion of three dimensions while making the whole thing nice and scalable.

Failing that, I guess I'll just end up manually tracing the cube - not a big deal, but it seems like a rather unelegant solution.

In the Transform Palette's flyout menu, turn on Scale Strokes & Effects.
