    Default Illustrator 10.0.3 problems...please help

We have three macs running Illustrator 10.0.3 on OS 9.2.2.
All three are experiencing the same problems:

    1. Constant crashing (about 5-10 times a day)
I have done everything from deleting preferences to reinstalling Illustrator and leaving it at 10 without upgrading. Could we actually have 3 lemons? No other programs seem to crash these machines.

    2. After connecting to a server or running a CD and pulling files or opening files, Illustrator runs very slow. Borderlines on hanging with each click.

Any advise I can get ASAP would be great.

    Thanks!

The fact that it occurs similarly on three machines suggests a bad font or conflicting extension that is on all three. Disable extensions and fonts and test.
