illustrator 10 and text

In Word when you type in 21st is automatically shrinks and moves the st to the upper right of the numbers. Is there a way to set up illustrator 10 to do this with the st's and nd's after numbers automatically like word does?

No, and thank heavens for it. You'll have to do it manually using text size and baseline shift. You might want to bump up the font weight, from normal to semi-bold perhaps, to maintain consistend weight.
