Illustrator 10 - How to erase a color from an object?
I'm very new at using Illustrator and am stumbling through it.
I have made two ovals, and grouped them together. I want to "erase by color", as it were. Can anyone help me?
Thanks!

Re: Illustrator 10 - How to erase a color from an object?
??? In vector based programs such as Illustrator, you have a fill and a stroke. You can make the object un-filled by selecting the fill to the front in the tools palette and selecting to make it unfilled (the square with a red line going through it). To select all of a certain fill (say you have several objects you need to fill with red instead of blue, go to select>same>fill and stroke or whatever suits your needs, then change the fill as above to a new color.

Re: Illustrator 10 - How to erase a color from an object?
Rajah,
Let me see if I can interpret your question...
Each object can have stroke and fill. Two objects grouped are still two
objects. Each can have its own stroke and fill.
Now, if you want to make a single 'doughnut' (torpid) from two ovals, you
need to create a compound object. You can do this either by selecting both,
and then choosing Object>Compound>Make or from the Pathfinder Palette
