Illustrator 10 Preferences???

(OSX, 10.2.4 , Illustrator 10)

I recently discovered that when I use my selection tool on an object that it does not offer me the free transform functions. I looked in my preferences folder to trash them, and I find NO preferences for Illustrator. (Photoshop 7.0 is there, pagemaker, etc, but not illustrator) Does this sound familiar? I'd hate to re install, but I will if necessary. Can anyone help me. Thanks.

Your prefs should be found in Users - (You) - Library - Preferences - Adobe Illustrator 10. But befor eyou do that, you might want to try itting Command - Shift - B, to bring back the bounding box (You probably accidentally hit it to turn it off).
