Re: illustrator 10 printing issues with Mac OS 9.2.2
Ditto on the problem. I have Illustrator 9 and the mac os 9 won't display my epson 2200 printer. I did not try throwing away the AI preferences, don't know how, or if that is what I need to do. APhotoshop7 did fine with mac os 10.
Help Help and thanks

Debbie,
With Illustrator closed, go to your system folder/preferences/adobe illustrator and trash ai preferences. Then reopen Illustrator.
If you have a postscript printer...
Go to print/illustrator/separation setup and select your ppd in the list. If it's not there check your system extentions folder under printer discriptions to see if your ppd is there. If it is go to chooser and set your printer up.

Re: illustrator 10 printing issues with Mac OS 9.2.2
I've done all the above mentioned "fixes" plus have played around with different memory configurations in my Mac memory, and Illustrator memory - the problem still persists. The only way I can print is to export to jpg and print that. I would also like the ability to print directly from this illustrator drawing. Any other ideas?

Re: illustrator 10 printing issues with Mac OS 9.2.2
Eureka, I solved my printing issues in Illustrator 10 Mac. I have a Canon BCJ-3000. I went to the Canon website www.canon.com and downloaded the newest driver (don't know why i didn't think of it before!). Note of interest - the website says that the driver is for systems through 9.1 but it works fine in 9.2 - this is the last upgraded driver for this series. The printer will not work with OSX.
I can now print Illustrator files fine.

Try outlining your fonts?
Another shot in the dark, but try the options under the "printing & export" submenu under document setup. I've often seen the "compatible gradient and gradient mesh printing" option fix problems.
