Illustrator 9.0 background problem
Need help to determine why I loose the white default background (drawing area) to Illustrator 9.0 upgrade. Pallets are present, just no drawing area. My 7.01 works fine, but in order to repair the problem, both 7.01 and 9.0 have to be totally uninstalled and then reinstalled. There must be an easier way around this problem that has been plaguing my Windows 98 pc.

Re: Illustrator 9.0 background problem
Try tapping the [F] key a few times. Otherwise delete your AIPrefs file.

Re: Illustrator 9.0 background problem
Deleting the AIPrefs files (found two) did the trick. I don't know what they contained, but I'm up and running again. Thanks a lot.

Re: Illustrator 9.0 background problem
You'll notice all you personal settings are reset, but that's the worst side-effect.
