Hi everyone. I am having a problem with Illustrator 9. I cannot get the default file to open, & have to make a new file & reset my preferences each time I open Illutrator!! I used to use version 8 in a pre-press department & never had this problem; we had the default file tweaked like crazy. I know how to edit the file, but it will not open on start-up of the app, rendering it's settings more or less useless. What am I doing wrong?? My workflow is suffering heavily from this misunderstanding. I also see 2 default files: RGB & CMYK. I only need CMYK, do I need to leave them both, or can I disable/move the RGB? If anyone can suggest how to get this runnin as it should, I would greatly appreciate anyone's assistance.
