Illustrator CS crashes after couple of edits

Illustrator CS installed wonderfully along with everything else, but the program continues to crash after making two or three changes to a file. It causes me to save frequently, but getting frustrated having to restart the application every couple of minutes--makes me want to go back to CorelDraw! The deskspace goes white and I loos all the program icons and eithre I have to shut it down manually or it goes off by itself. Windows XP Pro with 512m ram & a Pentium 4 1;6 gHtz processor. Only non-standard thing is language is not set to English.

Sorry, that's kinda bland and very rude of me. Basically, the problem has to do with your non-english settings. It's a documented bug and I read about a patch (non-Adobe, but works) somewhere, but I can't seem to find the link anymore.

Thanks Jeff S Clark. I tried that, but the first restart didn't help. Today, it seems to be working.
